The Secretary of Tourism of the Municipality of Federación, Graciela Racedo, made a balance of what the summer season left in that city, and about the cleaning and reconditioning works that are being done in the Aquatic Park. “According to the words of the Minister of Tourism of the province, Adrián Fuertes, Federación saved the season for our province,” said the municipal official. “The floods and the rise of the Uruguay and Paraná rivers, caused the rest of the destinations to have a very low tourist movement, especially in that first stage of the year,” she argued. “Federación maintained occupancies that rotated between 85% and 100%, on each of the weekends with an excellent tourist movement,” Racedo stressed.
Could we say that Federación broke all records this summer?
The truth is that yes, to have had this happen with a month of Termas with 67,000 visitors, which was our record, and to have surpassed the 121,000 visitors to the facilities this January, is admirable. It surprised us and allowed us to analyze that Federación is a destination with an important future. In two months, 205,000 tickets were sold in Termas, while in all of 2015, the number reached 568,611.
What’s next for Federación?
During this time, usually, the tourists that come are excursions of retirees who come from different types of places, for one or two days, for which reason, tourism is much quieter in winter seasons. For this reason, we decided to do maintenance in Termas and Water Park since soon, in this same month of March, we will have Easter and the Uruguayan holiday that lasts for a week, and we want to get to this date with the Park in the best way since this is a showcase for the rest of the year.
What comments have visitors made about the Aquatic Park and Hot Springs?
The comments are very good, people liked the layout of the games and the spaciousness of the Park. We must agree that many of the public that Federación received already know and have visited other playgrounds, but undoubtedly the layout of the games and the Park is far superior to that of other parks.
What will be renovated in the aquatic part?
The idea is to maintain the facilities so that they can always be in optimal conditions, such as painting the pools and cleaning them.
